Single ring and ball method softening point apparatus set, including hotplate. This set can be used for single determinations such as: asphalts, pitches, tars and most resins. Includes 6" x 6" electric hotplate as a heat source rather than a gas burner. The hotplate provides an easy-to-set analog temperature control knob with graduated scale and LED display.
